About Hannah

Music isn't a subject to be studied; it's a language to be learned and loved.

Hannah Papizan is a New York City-based musician, vocalist, and educator. She holds a Bachelor of the Arts in Theatre and Film and a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies (LSU) in Business Management, Classical Vocal Performance, and Digital Media Arts. She has performed professionally in cabaret and jazz settings and brings that lived performance experience into every lesson.

With 5 years of music teaching experience, Hannah brings a deep understanding of children and how they learn, alongside a teaching philosophy centered on building confident, expressive musicians, not just technically correct ones. Whether you're a curious beginner or a student preparing for auditions, lessons are shaped around who you are and where you want to go.

Free Intro Call

A 15-minute conversation to talk about your goals, experience, and what you want to get out of lessons. No commitment required.

Trial Lesson

A full 30-minute session to get a real feel for the instruction style and see if it's the right fit.

Custom Curriculum

Every student gets a plan built around their goals, not a fixed syllabus. Progress is tracked and lessons evolve as you do.

Ongoing Support

Practice guidance, recital opportunities, and check-ins between lessons to keep momentum going outside the studio.

What age can my child start?

Most young beginners start around age 5 for piano and guitar. Voice lessons are offered to teens.

Do you teach in my home?

Yes, in-home lessons throughout Manhattan. Some locations may include a small travel fee.

Do we need our own instrument?

Not strictly to begin lessons, but you will need one once you start taking lessons regularly, so you can practice and rehearse at home.

How does the trial work?

Start with a free 15-minute intro call, then a 30-minute trial lesson. No commitment required.

What if we need to cancel or reschedule?

Lessons canceled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice are not charged. Late cancellations and no-shows may be charged for the lesson.

Are there recitals?

Yes. Students have the opportunity to perform in recitals.
